James had his one-year-old shots today. We had a bit of a wait in the exam room and I had luckily remembered to stash a new toy in the diaper bag. He's just started getting into cars and trucks and things with wheels and James was fascinated by the design on the wheels and how it moved. He was so interested in the sound it made on the crinkly paper on the exam table. We were having great fun...until we made him lay down for shots. I think he had forgotten they were coming. But soon that was all forgotten when he got his bottle. Here are the stats for today.

Length: 29.5 inches
Weight: 18 lb
s 4 oz (with onesie and diaper on)
Head: 45 cm
The doctor wants to keep him on high calorie formula for now since he's still below zero percent on the charts, but he is following a curve now so I guess she's not as worried. So no facing forward yet in the car, James, but you can start having a little whole milk! I guess I'll have to remember the new toy trick when you go back for 15-month shots.
Someday you'll understand. :)
