We recently had some friends over for dinner and while they were feeding their infant we were all making the normal "eat-me" noises that you find yourself doing to try to make eating exciting. Bekah was observing and said excitedly, "That's an onomatopoeia!" We were all speechless for a few seconds...and I shamefully had to ask, "What's an auna-mata-pea?" Whoops. I guess I have to start acting like I know more than she does if I'm supposed to help her with homework. Luckily I'm married to an English major! She also recently said something like "We need to use adjectives so our stories aren't boring." But I still love how any time she's trying to say myself, James or her are addicted to something, we are actually "infected". :-)
Bekah is helping out more (in a helpful to mom kind of way) with James now and scenes like these are happening all the time! I love it!

Hi Nikki,
I spent some time catching up on your blog tonight and have absolutely loved it. Your kids are beautiful and getting so big. I'm glad James is doing well--good luck at the pediatric clinic! Merry Christmas to you guys! I hope it is a very happy one for your family.
Becky
